EV Servicing
EV Servicing
At Inchcape Australia, our expert technicians understand what makes electric vehicles unique.
We inspect all the essentials — including tyres, brakes, fluids and suspension — and assess the health of your high-voltage battery using the latest manufacturer-approved diagnostic tools.
Whether you’re booking your EV in for scheduled servicing or a safety inspection, you can enjoy complete confidence knowing it’s cared for by trained EV specialists.
Battery health check
We check and test the health of your EV battery. Providing you with insights into your battery's lifespan, and catching potential risks like overheating before they become serious.
Electrical Components
Inchcape technicians are trained to work safely on the high voltage systems in your EV. We Inspect the cables and components that carry power throughout the car fir damage and corrosion and ensure they are secured correctly.
Scheduled Servicing & Maintenance
Inchcape’s service centres across in Sydney and Melbourne are fully equipped with factory-approved tools and diagnostic equipment to ensure your vehicle is serviced to the highest possible standard. Regular preventative maintenance keeps your overall running costs down, supports strong resale value, and—most importantly—gives you peace of mind for reliable motoring across Australia’s diverse road and climate conditions.
Diagnostics
Our factory-trained technicians are equipped to quickly and accurately diagnose and repair all mechanical and electrical issues that may arise with your vehicle. We know unexpected problems can happen, and getting you safely back on the road as fast as possible is always our top priority.
Wheels & Tyres
EVs may not have a combustion engine, but their larger lithium-ion batteries make them, on average, up to 30% heavier than traditional petrol vehicles. This added weight, combined with strong instant torque, can cause tyres to wear up to 20% faster than those on equivalent combustion models. Comprehensive tyre inspections during every service are essential for safety and performance.
12 Volt Battery
Most EVs still rely on a standard 12-volt battery to power critical systems such as airbags, lighting, infotainment, and central locking. This ensures these systems remain operational even if the high-voltage battery is isolated or loses charge. Our technicians thoroughly test and inspect the 12-volt battery to ensure optimal safety and reliability.
Brakes Pads
Electric vehicles use regenerative braking, allowing the electric motor to slow the vehicle while recovering energy back into the battery. This reduces reliance on traditional friction brakes, meaning brake pads often last longer than in petrol vehicles. However, they remain essential safety components and must be inspected regularly to ensure your EV can stop safely in all conditions.
Fluid Check
While EVs don’t require engine oil, they still rely on several critical fluids, including coolant for thermal management and brake fluid for safe braking performance. Following manufacturer-specified fluid inspections and replacement intervals helps prevent costly issues and ensures long-term durability of your electric vehicle.
